Change must mean better government

I don't believe that government can or should try to solve all our problems.

We have a crisis to solve and an economy to save. The economic crisis we face is the worst since the Great Depression.

We need to get beyond the old ideological debates and divides between left and right. We don't need bigger government or smaller government. We need a better government, an ethical government, more competent government, a government that works for all and upholds the values that we all share as Americans.

It's not just about new programs and policies. It's about a new, improved government, one that reflects the values of true democracy. What we need is honest leadership and real change. Let's put an end to the politics that divide our nation. Let's start right here in Kendall County. The greatness of America is the promise that every generation will leave its children a better life.
