A new way to spread the wealth

In the spirit of Obama's successful "spread the wealth" campaign, I propose that our school districts adopt a similar plan. Let's have all homeowners with a home value under $350,000 pay no school taxes (although they supply the vast majority of students). In fact, let's have the school district mail these homeowners, and renters, too, a check. After all, they pay sales tax and other taxes. Make up for this by raising the school tax rates for the rich homeowners with homes valued over $350,000.

Our school boards should be happy to adopt this plan. I am sure that like Obama, it will ensure their re-election. After all, they will be ensuring that the majority of voters pay no tax, and that those rich people with expensive homes pay their fair share.
