Roads a bit treacherous
Slick roads caused several crashes on I-94 during the Monday evening rush hour, ABC 7 reported. State police officials in Chicago said there were so many spin-outs in the Northern suburbs, police could respond only to injury accidents for a few hours Monday night. State police in District 2 near Elgin reported spin-outs at the bridges near I-290 and I-355 where they connect near Itasca, ABC 7 reported. Ice has been a problem on the elevated bridges in both directions. Police said no one was seriously injured. The roads were clear around 8 p.m. after salt trucks dusted the area, police said.
