Barrington

• Thieves stole a wallet out of a purse at an after-election party Nov. 4 inside a restaurant on the 200 block of Applebee. Loss was estimated at $40.

• Alexander J. Smith, 18, 102 Carriage Road, North Barrington, and Bradford O. Gunderson, 17, 20831 Wildrose Drive, Deer Park, were arrested around 12:50 a.m. Nov. 9 at Long Grove and Ela roads and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor. Their court date is Dec. 12.

• Vandals broke a window on the 100 block of Pine Road Nov. 9; a damage estimate was not available.

Inverness

• Vandals smashed a mailbox at a home on the 600 block of Inverway overnight Nov. 5-6; a damage estimate was not available.

Palatine

• Vandals smashed two south side windows at Paddock School, 225 W. Washington Court, between 11:30 a.m. Nov. 8 and 11:30 a.m. Nov. 9. A damage estimate was not available.

• Burglars broke into a 2006 Hummer H3 on the 600 block of South Consumers Drive between 7:20-7:25 p.m. Nov. 8 and stole a GPS unit, radar detector and Fraternal Order of Police decal. Total loss was estimated at $362.

• Burglars pulled open the storm door, kicked in a front door window and pulled the security chain from the door frame at a home on the 800 block of West Brookside Street around 9:50 p.m. Nov. 8, but did not get inside. The homeowner heard the racket and yelled, causing the offenders to flee. A damage estimate was not available.
