Jacket of missing Northwestern student found

Authorities at Northwestern University in Evanston say a university police officer has found a jacket belonging to missing freshman Trevor Boehm on some rocks along the Lake Michigan shore.

The 20-year-old Boehm was reported missing Nov. 5 when his parents arrived from Monument, Colo., for Parents' Weekend and could not find him.

The university says the jacket found Thursday morning contained Boehm's student identification card, keys, cell phone and other personal property.

After the discovery, university police contacted the Evanston Police and Fire Departments and the U.S. Coast Guard, which began a search of the area by boat and helicopter.

Boehm is described as 5-foot-10 and 145 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
