Baich commits to Youngstown State

On Friday morning, Wheeling's Liseli Baich will sign a national letter of intent to attend Youngstown State University and participate on the women's swimming team.

Baich, a four-year varsity letter-winner with the Wildcats, is the captain of Wheeling's team this season and was the squad's MVP last year under coach John Fournier. She has also excelled in USA/ISI swimming under coach Jamie Klotz and the District Unified Swim Team.

Baich's best high school race is the 100-yard breaststroke, in which she placed sixth in last season's sectional meet. She also finished sixth at the sectional in the 100 freestyle.
