The election's over; it's time to move on

In response to the letter from Ms. Pontarelli (Nov. 11): If we were to list all the peccadillos of the Republican and Democrats, I am afraid that it would fill up weeks of the Fence Post.

This is the time to move on and not to be looking under rocks for salacious activities of people in the party that you obviously did not wish to take office.

We can only pray for better conduct from all our leaders. As a friend of mine likes to say,"Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift."

Use that gift to become educated with the issues confronting us, not to dwell on personal attacks. Vitriolic verbiage is the last thing that we need at this time in our history.

Disagree on issues, that is fine. But stop with the personal attacks.

We are on a collision course and we need to support one another whether you are a Democrat, Republican, blue dog Democrat, independent from a red state or blue.

We are all in this together. This bipartisan bickering must stop or we will never move forward.
