Glenbard South to present 'West Side Story'

The classic musical "West Side Story" will be presented in all its glory this weekend by more than 100 Glenbard South High School students.

Shows are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. today through Saturday, Nov. 13-15, at the high school, 23W200 Butterfield Road, Glen Ellyn.

The production, which mirrors Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet," is set in the 1950s in New York City where the young lovers, Tony and Maria, are caught between the warring street gangs the Jets and Sharks.

Cast members include Mitchell McNeily as Tony, Emi Hayashi as Maria, C.J. Vana as Bernardo, Vincent McPherson as Riff, Celinne Mencias as Anita, Stephanie Kornatz as Rosalia and Sid Sethupathi as Chino.
