In support of Glen Ellyn candidate

We are writing in support of Jay Strayer, candidate of the Civic Betterment Party for Glen Ellyn village president. We've known Jay for more than 25 years, and have had the pleasure of working with him in board positions with the Glen Ellyn Children's Chorus, the Boy Scouts of America and as volunteers with Public Action Delivering Shelter (PADS).

Jay has an enriched history of civic responsibility. He's a recent trustee of the village of Glen Ellyn, a retired commander in the Naval Reserve, a former president and director of United Way of Glen Ellyn, a former director/treasurer of the Glenbard West High School Booster Club, the current vice chairman of the Glen Ellyn Plan Commission and was selected Glen Ellyn Jaycees Citizen of the Year in 1988.

Jay's professional career is well suited to the current needs of the Village. He has combined a career in corporate law as general counsel for three successful corporations with a partnered private practice focused on commercial/business law, mergers and acquisitions and estate planning.

Jay's blend of professional and civic experience makes him an exceptionally qualified candidate to lead the village during a period of economic uncertainty. He is a collaborative leader that can make a difference in the Glen Ellyn community.

We urge Glen Ellyn residents to join us at the Nov. 22 Town Meeting and elect Jay Strayer.
