City's generosity knows no bounds

Thanks to the staff of School District 62 for your third annual Back to School We Can food drive, which collected approximately 3,800 pounds of food for the pantry this fall.

Thanks to all those who supported the pantry's second annual "Hunger Knows No Season" fall fashion show, coordinated by Donna Hoffman of Des Plaines and Patty O'Brien of Mount Prospect.

Thanks to Prudential/Starch Realtors of Des Plaines for coordinating a communitywide food collection outside various local grocers on Oct. 4 and to all those who gave so generously. Also on Oct. 4, the Des Plaines Fire Department hosted a community open house and those in attendance filled many Red Barrels with food donations.

Thanks to the countless other local businesses, schools, churches and community groups for your recent and - we hope - continued support during the uncertain times ahead of us all.
