Arlington Heights
• A 1997 Honda Passport on the 2000 block of South Chestnut was vandalized 3:30-4:30 p.m. Oct. 31; a damage estimate was not available.
• Two men put long scratches on a 2006 Land Rover Range Rover on the 400 block of South Lincoln around 1:10 a.m. Nov. 2. A neighbor yelled at them and they fled; a damage estimate was not available.
• A man and woman stole two pairs of prescription eyeglasses and a pair of sunglasses, all worth about $1,180, from For Eyes, 1980 N. Arlington Heights Road around 11:40 a.m. Oct. 31.
• A $400 cell phone was stolen around 4:30 p.m. Oct. 31 out of a conference room at the Sheraton hotel, 3400 W. Euclid Ave.
Rolling Meadows
• Someone burglarized an unlocked home on the 2800 block of Oriole Lane 9:30- 10:30 a.m. Oct. 30, while a female resident was in the basement. A small locked safe, a 46-inch LCD TV, a video-game system and jewelry were stolen; a loss estimate was not available.
• Phillip A. Meyer, 44, 101 Salado Court, Schaumburg, was arrested around 2:45 a.m. Oct. 31 after a traffic stop at Carriageway Drive and Algonquin Road and charged with illegal transportation of open alcohol and driving under the influence. His court date is Nov. 26.
• Adam J. Angelilli, 27, 394 N. Walnut St., Elgin, was arrested Nov. 1 and charged with retail theft from Meijer department store, 1301 Meijer Drive, and obstructing police for reportedly giving police a false name. His court date is Dec. 5.
• Burglars used a large rock to break the front glass door at Michoacan grocery store, 3989 Algonquin Road between 11 p.m. Nov. 1 and 4:30 a.m. Nov. 2. Once inside they tossed merchandise on the floor but apparently left without taking anything. A damage estimate was not available.
