Round Lake man fatally shot

A Round Lake man was shot and killed Tuesday night in Chicago, authorities said.

Anthony Murdock, 22, of the 1000 block of Railroad Ave., was shot in the 7000 block of Perry St., officials said.

He was pronounced dead at 1:06 a.m. Wednesday morning at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Cook County Medical Examiner officials said.

An autopsy held Wednesday morning found Murdock was shot in the back. His death has been ruled a homicide by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Chicago police are investigating the incident, officials said.
