'Panda', Lennon new on DVD
"Kung Fu Panda"
Kids will enjoy the cast of characters and laugh along the way in this animated film about a rotund panda named Po (Jack Black) who dreams of being a martial arts hero.
He lives with his family in the Valley of Peace and works for his father serving noodles. The head monk at the ancient temple will select the Dragon Warrior to fight the power hungry Tai Lung (Ian McShane) who wants to rule and disrupt everyone's life in the valley. There are five contenders who will be trained by Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman) for combat. They are: Mantis (Seth Rogan), Monkey (Jackie Chan), Tigress (Angelina Jolie), Crane (David Cross) and Viper (Lucy Liu). To the dismay of everyone, Po is selected. Shifu works with Po and develops his hidden talents. There is lots of action, as well as a message about believing in yourself.

"Get Smart"
Mel Brooks and Buck Henry created the classic TV series, and the silliness and fun continues in the film version with Steve Carell taking over for Don Adams as Maxwell Smart. He is an agent for Control, and his job is to listen to conversations of agents for Kaos, his Russian nemesis, and decode them. After an attack on Control headquarters by Kaos operative Siegfried (Terence Stamp), The Chief (Alan Arkin) promotes Max to field agent. He is given the number 86 and partnered with Agent 99 (Anne Hathaway). They are accompanied by Agent 23 (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) to Russia. Kaos is trying to get nuclear weapons, and it's up to the Control agents, and their gadgets, to stop them.
