No charges filed in Rosemont traffic stop
The person involved in a Rosemont traffic stop Tuesday that spawned rumors of a possible threat to President-elect Barack Obama was released Wednesday without any charges being filed.
A motorist stopped about 1:30 p.m. in the 7000 block of Mannheim Road for a traffic violation was found to have six weapons and Taser in his vehicle, Rosemong police said.
Police contacted the U.S. Secret Service. It was determined that the individual was a private detective licensed and qualified by the state to carry concealed weapons.
