Suspects in Wis. murder arrested in Illinois
APPLETON, Wis. -- Two men charged with fatally shooting a man in eastern Wisconsin have been arrested in Illinois.
Police in the Outagamie County community of Grand Chute say the two men were arrested Monday night at a hotel in Peoria, Illinois.
Interim Police Chief Greg Peterson says his investigators developed information that the men wanted for killing Artheddius "Pierre" Peeler might have fled to Peoria.
Twenty-five-year-old Michael Potts of Grand Chute and 24-year-old Keith Birr of Neenah were arrested by Peoria SWAT officers.
Police say Peeler, of Plymouth, Minnesota, was visiting his sister in Grand Chute when he was shot to death Oct. 26 after a fight over a loud party.
