Palmer re-elected as McHenry auditor
In the race for McHenry County auditor, Republican incumbent Pam Palmer won re-election over Democratic challenger Kerry Julian.
Palmer had received 58 percent of the vote, according to unofficial results late Tuesday.
During the campaign, the candidates clashed over halting some of State's Attorney Louis Bianchi's spending, with Julian calling for reimbursement to the county; Palmer deferring the matter to the McHenry County Board.
