Lake Forest Hospital plans acquisition

LAKE FOREST - Lake Forest Hospital announced its plan to acquire Gurnee Radiology Centers, creating an expansive medical imaging network in Lake County. GRC's three facilities in Gurnee, Libertyville and Bannockburn will join the Lake Forest Hospital network that currently has four imaging operations in Lake Forest, Gurnee, Grayslake and Vernon Hills. With the acquisition, Lake Forest Hospital Diagnostic Imaging will employ more than 200 staff at seven locations in Lake County and provide approximately 200,000 diagnostic imaging procedures for patients annually. The hospital's Diagnostic Imaging department will be led by medical director, Dr. Jeffrey L. Rosengarten, who is board certified in diagnostic radiology and certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners.
