We must protect all children, every day

Jennifer Hudson's nephew, Julian King (aged 7), was missing and the press provided frequent updates as the case unfolded and until his murdered body was found. It is a tragedy any time a child dies and my heart goes out to the family and friends of Julian.

What I don't understand is how that story could overshadow an FBI sting operation targeting child sex traffickers resulting in 642 arrests and the rescue of 47 children, ages 13-17. It is appalling that so-called "human beings" could abuse and misuse children every single day all over the country and neither the Daily Herald nor The Chicago Tribune would report it. The world should be crying and fighting for these children every day.
