Iraq war is painful, but also necessary

I have so much respect for so many of the readers that respond to the Fence Post.

Recently I enjoyed reading Jim Hader's entry titled, "In Iraq we've done what had to be done."

I pray there are many more people with a keen eye to reality and a good memory such as he has.

We should all take a good look at the truth, even if it hurts.

I'm so tired of hearing that there were no weapons of mass destruction. Saddam and his two sons were weapons enough.

With the amount of time they had, putting off inspections, they could have hidden or ditched the Titanic.

I hope that the pain that is being endured in Iraq and Afghanistan is slowing down. It's the same pain that we could be feeling here if we had not struck out against terrorism.

In May of 2002, Suleiman Abu Ghaith, recently killed and a spokesman for Osama bin Laden, stated that, "We have the right to kill four million Americans, two million of them, children, and to exile two times as many and cripple hundreds of thousands."

He wrote this for what reason, I do not know. For every one like him that our military takes out, two more pop up. This world is in great need of fervent prayer.
