Exelon slows Quad Cities reactor

Exelon Corp. slowed the Quad Cities 1 reactor in Illinois to 40 percent of capacity, down from 97 percent Oct. 31, according to a report from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

There are two reactors at the Quad Cities plant in northwestern Illinois, near Davenport, Iowa. Unit 2 is operating at 96 percent of capacity, according to the commission.
