Not amused by being clueless

Regarding Fence Post, "Obama and Palin like apples, oranges, Oct. 7, is amused with the "clueless" comparison between Palin's Alaska governorship and Obama's community service. Yes, those truly are not comparable. Consider these more direct comparisons:

Obama was Illinois State Senator from 1997-2004 and a U.S. Senator since 2005. Our state population is 12.8 million.

Palin governs Alaska, population 670,000. (Never mind Wasilla which is 1/5 the size of the Village of Mundelein.)

Obama was educated at Columbia and then Harvard, earning a law degree.

Palin has a B.S. in Communications & Journalism from U. Idaho.

Obama campaigned and won the nomination against other candidates for the presidency, including a very well-qualified woman Senator.

Palin was chosen how exactly to be a heartbeat away from the presidency?

Who is "clueless" here?
