Alvarez no friend to firearms owners

Firearms owners beware! Although the Daily Herald has endorsed Anita Alvarez for Cook County State's Attorney I also wanted to add some information which was somehow "forgotten". Ms Alvarez is strongly anti 2nd Amendment.

In a recent interview with Jeff Berkowitz she exposed her anti gun positions, even saying she does not believe in the 2nd Amendment and that no citizen should be allowed to own any gun, any time. Excuse me, but I thought that when a person takes the oath of office he/she swears to uphold the Constitution -- the WHOLE Constitution, not just part of it.

As a responsible, law abiding firearms owner I resent her total disdain of a very fundamental right in this country. The reason our forefathers wrote the 2nd Amendment is so citizens as a whole have a recourse against a tyrannical government, you know, the kind Ms Alvarez envisions.

The clear choice for firearms owners is Tony Peraica.
