When: 10:30 a.m. Saturday

Teams to Watch: Palatine will be the favorite after winning the Mid-Suburban League title and the Hoffman Estates regional. Sophomore Sarah McIntosh leads the Pirates and will be looking to win her third straight race at Busse. Courtney Brown will also be near the front of the pack. Buffalo Grove was second in the MSL and won its first ever regional title at Lake Forest. Freshman Olivia Jones leads the Bison as it seeks its first state trip. Hoffman Estates is also looking to qualify and was disappointed after missing last year. The Hawks are led by juniors Melissa Schmidt and Hannah Worman. Schaumburg is seeking its first trip to the state meet since 2002. Sophomores Colette Falsey, Britten Petrey and Karen Lesiewicz lead the Saxon. The fifth spot will be up for grabs as Prospect, Barrington, Hersey, Rolling Meadows, and Libertyville will battle.

Individuals to watch: Warren's Heather Olson is one of the top runners in state and will battle McIntosh for the individual title. Rolling Meadows' Christina Gastfield took first at her school's regional. Prospect's Annette White finished second at Meadows. Hersey's Ashley Martin and Salena Clohisy are also coming on strong, and Barrington is led by Rebacca Tracy.
