Endorsement of home rule right on

You win some, you lose some!

Your endorsement of the Prospect Heights referendums on the Home Rule issue was very factual and I sincerely hope of educational value to our residents.

It was not surprising to see the old "NO MORE TAXES" yard signs the opponents had out, some have to be collector's items. I'll bet some still have signs hidden away from other elections for: No, not Lincoln!

You made is very clear as to the importance of the passage of these referendums. Residents have to believe the City Council lives in this city and WE already pay too much in real estate taxes, why would we raise our taxes?

I also want to thank you for your wisdom in your endorsements of Mark Kirk, Matt Murphy and Sid Mathias, proven leaders.

As for the "lose some", you already know my disappointment in your endorsement of Obama. "Enough said" as my mother use to say.
