Durbin's family ties make fairness tough

Senator Durbin must disclose conflicts. There have been reports the senator's wife and son work as lobbyists in non-election years. What firms were they representing? How did he vote? Would the senator please explain these apparent conflicts? How could he represent the taxpayers fairly while his family works trying to get votes for their employers?
