McHenry County State's Attorney Lou Bianchi has put together an exceptional, effective team. Mental Health Court became a reality, channeling defendants into treatment services rather than recycling them through the courts. Providing in-house counsel to the county has saved taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars annually.

Lou has recruited attorneys of the highest quality who successfully prosecuted murderers, child molesters, drug dealers, and gangs. The trial for the attempted murder of Carolyn Cox resulted in a lengthy prison sentence for the defendant, thanks to the carefully constructed case by Lou's criminal prosecutors.
