Hoffman cops arrest two more teens after car break-ins
Hoffman Estates police arrested two teens Tuesday after authorities said the youths broke into four vehicles.
John Heinbuch, 17, of 1687 Kingsdale Lane in Hoffman Estates, and an unidentified 15-year-old male from Hanover Park were arrested near the 1300 block of Devonshire Lane, police said. Heinbuch was charged with four counts of criminal trespass to motor vehicles, while the 15-year-old was cited with four counts of burglary to motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Six vehicles near the scene of the arrest were found broken into, with four burglarized, police said. Heinbuch and the 15-year-old were found walking from the scene and then arrested, police said. Items taken included personal items and gift cards, cell phones and other electronic devices, police said.
Tuesday's arrests come a week after Hoffman Estates police charged four other teens with committing 10 recent burglaries to homes and vehicles. Police advise residents to lock doors and remove valuables after parking their vehicles.
Heinbuch was released on a $1,000 bond and faces a Dec. 3 court date.
