Welcome to the U.S. of Illinois!

I still have my doubts about voting. I haven't decided yet, but I imagine the Democrats sweeping the national elections. Then I wonder what it will be like if the Democrats hold the majority in Congress.

Then it dawned on me. It would be like the "United States of Illinois!"

Congress is already acting like our Legislature and the Cook County Board. They do nothing and receive a handsome salary plus perks. Graft, corruption, nepotism and government waste seem to be guiding principles. The party line is gospel and taxpayers are sheep that are expected to bow and give an amen to their distorted views.

Remember the Messiah learned his politics in Chicago and Illinois. If this example does come true, I would like to be the first to welcome the other states to our world. Let's hear it for economic and social justice!
