The paradox of leftist catechism

"We represent the unrepresented, the little guy, the marginalized, minorities, women -" and so goes the leftist catechism. But all this so-called compassion morphs into savage attacks and vindictiveness when confronted with a Palin, a Justice Thomas or even a "Joe the Plumber." Their idea of diversity is agnostic socialism recited from the mouths of those who look different but say the same thing.

I have studied tyranny in all it's forms and guises across the centuries, and we are confronted with a paradox as sad as it is dangerous. Media, which is supposed to be an objective reporter of fact, is a vehicle of ideology. It is little different from putting a pedophile in charge of the nursery. The enemy is not so much across the globe as it is parked in the driveway of a plumber who dared to tell the emperor he was naked.
