Taking stock of Bush's eight years

Well, the scary ride we have been on with George W. Bush at the helm of this nation is soon coming to an end.

Let's review some of the events which has placed this politician in the same basket as some of the most despised presidents in history. Let's start with the claim of being a "Compassionate Conservative".

Now then, examine how the folks who were left in Hurricane Katrina's wake must feel about that statement.

Let's now move to global warming and the need in this country for a compressive alternative energies projects.

Fact is, there is no fed-based plan and Big Oil wishes nothing to do with anything but carbon. Thanks boys, enjoy your dividends. Next up, instead of an administration embracing the newfound breakthroughs with stem cell research, G.W.B. and company said "No" and refused to support what needs to be done.

Moving on, should we talk about the Wall Street bailouts, the tanking economy, the jobless rate across the nation, the collapse of the mortgage industry and the lack of purported regulation by said federal government? I could go on and on. Oh yes, a two-front war costing us billions with no end in sight.

Folks, the country will get an enema in January on Inauguration Day but the actual process will begin on Nov. 4. It's been eight years coming. Good bye George W. Bush and thank the Lord you could only run twice.
