Postponing debate was right thing
With our current economic problems there are many choices for John McCain and Barack Obama to choose from. For example, they could have suspended their campaigns and postponed their debate until the date of Oct. 2, 2008.
Personally, I think that they should have. This is because neither candidate should be worrying about the job that he wants, when they both should focus on the job they already have.
Their first priority should be the job they would like to maintain. What our country is going through in the economy is very big and something we all should take caution to. John McCain's proposal to push back the debate had nothing to do with being scared or trying to avoid something that will decide the rest of his political career.
There is a difference between making an excuse and trying to save the economy. What McCain was just trying to state was that we, the United States of America, were financially in trouble and it would be a good idea to take action. I fully support the idea of McCain and think it was bold to make a suggestion to delay his presidential debate.
No matter McCain's reasoning specifically, we should all be supportive of the fact he put this current financial problem ahead of his political debate.
I will always try my best to understand what goes on economically and politically but what some don't understand is what government officials and political leaders do, they do for the best of this great country.
