Media should report news without bias
I was appalled by the frenzy of the liberal media to flock to Alaska to dig dirt on Sarah Palin's family. It was only exceeded by the gold rush! Then "Joe the plumber" asks a simple question of Obama and the liberal press descends on him in a feeding frenzy to try to dig dirt on him and NBC makes that quest a major focus of their Thursday night "nightly news."
Now The New York Times has sent reporters to Arizona to try to dig up dirt on McCain by interviewing friends of their children. While there is a place for responsible investigative reporting, there is a point where it can go over the line by biased reporters with their own agenda. In all fairness, in their search for the truth, why haven't they "investigated" valid issues regarding liberal candidates for office?
Now there are a lot of questions about Obama, that he refuses to answer or is very evasive on, and yet the media refuses to pursue while they practice a different standard on those that oppose him. In my considerable experience, if a person refuses or is evasive in answering questions, they are either lying or trying to hide something. Ayers, Wright, Acorn, Vesko, and others are valid associations that should be pursued by an impartial media because they reflect on his judgment. His lack of experience and accomplishments as an Illinois and U.S. senator, and total lack of experience as an executive anywhere are all valid issues that the media selectively chooses to ignore. I don't think it is unreasonable for us to expect the media to report the news fairly without obvious bias, than it is for the people we elect to represent our ideals and principles. Could this be too much to ask?
