Let old battles go

The reasons why media doesn't expose Obama? Mr. Boni, in his 10/23 Fencepost, asked why the media, including the Daily Herald, doesn't expose Sen. Obama because: Obama was a neighborhood organizer for ACORN; ACORN is involved in voter fraud; Obama was an attorney for ACORN and taught others ACORN tactics; and Obama's questionable associations with Ayers, Dorn, Rezko, Wright and Pfleger.

Perhaps the following will answer his questions: Senator Obama's real affiliation with ACORN is a matter of record and quite aboveboard. By the way, voter fraud is different from registration fraud, but still unacceptable. The inference that as a community organizer, he taught the tactics of fraud is unfair, untrue and ridiculous. By the way, Obama's partner the time he represented ACORN in a lawsuit was the U.S. attorney. Hardly something shady.

Obama's real affiliations and real exposures to Ayers, Dorn, Rezko and Wright have been written about and talked about ad nauseam. And anyone who wants to know the facts can easily find them via nonpartisan, knowledgeable sources.

The facts are the facts and just because there are folks who refuse to read, listen and understand them is not Senator Obama's fault. Too many people stay attached to those red herrings because they refuse to accept the reality of the situation and continue to believe that if the facts don't agree with what they believe and want to believe, then the facts should be changed.

The media, including the Daily Herald, has sliced and diced all the facts, rumors, innuendo and pettiness and have written all about them. There is nothing more to say. So, I respectfully ask folks to relax, accept the facts for what they are and move on to some legitimate concerns.
