Foster looks good in Hastert's shoes

Bill Foster has already shown he is the man who can fill the shoes of Dennis Hastert in the 14th district. Bill has co-sponsored the National Conservation, Environment and Energy Independence Act - bipartisan legislation that would encourage conservation and promote Americas energy independence.

As a former Fermi scientist, Bill believes in the potential of new technologies and alternative energy options to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. Solar power, wind energy, geothermal and sensible development of biofuels provide clean energy alternatives to oil, and Bill will help ensure they are put to use on a large scale.

Bill Foster has also backed the Veterans Disability Benefits Claims Modernization Act, which would give severely wounded soldiers quicker access to benefit payments, reduce the backlog of paperwork, and update the claims processing system.

This is the year to take Congress back from the folks who have ruined American credibility around the world and left us with huge deficits and a disastrous conflict in the Middle East. We need to make certain that our new president, Barack Obama, is working with a substantial Democratic majority in Congress.
