Forest preserve plan a good investment

I look forward to voting for a new president on Nov. 4, and I'll be sure to find the forest preserve question near the bottom of the ballot and vote for that, too. As someone who is raising four children in Lake County and loves to bike, run, ski and kayak, I encourage everyone to vote for this so we can buy more forest preserves. For my family, the preserves are a refuge where we catch a quick hour here and there to explore and unwind. It's so healthy for children to have big places to do this. I also like that this proposal won't raise taxes, since bonds about to be retired will simply be replaced by new ones. For just a few dollars a year, we can all help the forest preserves continue to buy and care for land. That's the best financial investment I've seen a government agency propose in a long time.
