Define experience for Oval Office
Recently we have been subjected to a barrage of comments stating that Sarah Palin is "not qualified to be President" despite the fact that she is not running for that office. Barack Obama, on the other hand, we are told, is superbly qualified. It would be enormously helpful to the American public if someone would spell out what are the exact qualifications needed to for the presidency in not more than 100 words. If this were to happen, which it wont, you can be sure it would include the word "experience." Experience in what? Anything? Anyone who has been an employee of a sizable firm has known persons in the company who have much experience but objectively are losers. This doesn't happen much anymore because the business environment has become brutal. To put it another way, the job of the president is so complex and demanding that qualifications are too many to list. Some are obvious: Political skill, as with Bill Clinton. Leadership, as with Reagan. Charisma, as with Kennedy. Luck is helpful too.
