Candidates need to be prepared for after

In a recent letter by John McCain, he mentioned a term that I had never heard before, but, I was surely aware of what it meant, having made four amphibious landings.

The term "steady strain" meant that when two ships were side by side, the lines holding the two vessels together must be kept taught and manageable. Sen. McCain's situation was obviously different from mine, and I am sure the senator was talking about a carrier and a refueling ship. My recollection was an LST and a Henry Kaiser troop ship.

Now that has been explained, just how does it apply to the coming election?

It means that those unsure, or of the Republican persuasion, cannot allow the lines of separation between the candidates be widened to the extent that when the winds at sea shift, the impact as they crash together can be devastating. This detestation cannot be tolerated. We have been consumed as the financial situation deteriorates. Has anyone noted that those in charge of rectifying the situation are those who had caused it?

As for the time to steady the strain, it is short. We have great faith in the American people and allow the left wing media to have their victory parties, now, while, we, the real Americans spread the truth, bury the dissenters and enjoy our trip to the White House, after Nov 4.
