Inland Press honors George Irish

Hearst Newspapers executive George B. Irish was honored Tuesday by the Inland Press Association with the group's Ralph D. Casey Minnesota Award for service to the newspaper industry.

Irish, president of Hearst Newspapers and senior vice president of Hearst Corp., received the award at Inland's annual meeting here.

The award, presented jointly by Inland and the University of Minnesota, recognizes public service and leadership in the industry.
