Mom's advice works against McCain
Long ago, my mother told me it's not what you say; it's how you say it.
Never did that Mom-Truth come more to light than during the third and final presidential debate between senators Obama and McCain.
Sen. McCain worked very hard to convince undecided and independent voters (like me) that he is a strong, confident leader, the self-proclaimed "steady hand at the tiller."
But his words and ideology were undermined by the tone of his voice, the sneer of his lips and an absolute absence of warmth in his eyes.
In times like these, our country needs someone who is levelheaded, composed, intelligent and able to build consensus - not someone who is mean-spirited, hotheaded and seemingly tantrum prone.
This country needs a leader with a steady, optimistic disposition, not an angry one.
Score one for Mom; log another undecided for Obama.
