Manzullo didn't do much in 16 years

I was disappointed to see that the Daily Herald endorsed Don Manzullo in the 16th Congressional race.

I would liken that endorsement to keeping a subpar reporter on the job. The reporter can barely put a story together, can't spell and has poor sentence structure. Yet he keeps his job because he is a nice person and shows up for work on time.

For eight terms Don Manzullo has done exactly that. Meanwhile, unemployment is at an all-high. Meanwhile, college graduation rate for the district is half the national average.

The "protector" of small manufacturing has seen companies flee his district. And when he had an opportunity to work together and vote for a rescue package, he refused to do so on two occasions because in his eyes, there was not enough debate on it.

Don Manzullo is like that poor reporter. A nice guy who shows up for work, but never seems to get anything of substance done.

These are tough times and we don't need people who just show up. It is all about results. America needs smart people with a proven track record like Bob Abboud. Bob is a smart guy who knows how to get things done.
