Quincy man arrested in fatal fire

QUINCY -- Quincy police say they have arrested a former resident of an apartment building where three people died after a suspicious fire Saturday morning.

Quincy Police Lt. Jason Simmons says detectives arrested 33-year-old David R. Bentz early Sunday on charges of aggravated arson.

Bentz was being held in the Adams County jail pending arraignment Monday.

Simmons says Bentz had been served Oct. 23 with an order of protection to stay away from a female resident of the building. The woman was not in the building at the time of the fire.

Adams County Coroner Gary Hamilton identified the fire victims as 42-year-old David R. Jones, 43-year-old Samuel H. Burton, and 55-year-old Linda K. Wilson.
