Bus tours between Chicago, Woodfield begin Nov. 1

Grayline will run bus tours from downtown Chicago to Woodfield Mall every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday beginning Nov. 1, just in time for the holiday shopping season. Tours will depart from more than 70 different downtown hotels and accommodate a five-hour stay at the Chicago area's largest shopping center. The fare, which includes a free Passport to Savings booklet filled with discount offers from stores and restaurants throughout the mall, is $40 for adults and $30 for children, age 5 to 14. Children under 5 are free.

Woodfield Mall Shopping Tours can be booked at www.grayline.com/Chicago or through hotel concierges. The tour has a minimum requirement of 15 passengers. In the unlikely event that a tour is cancelled, reservation-holders will be entitled to a reschedule, tour credit or refund.

Woodfield Mall welcomes more than 27 million visitors annually, ranking it as the number one tourist destination in the state of Illinois. Among nearly 300 stores and restaurants, Woodfield is home to major national retailers including anchors Nordstrom, Macy's, Lord & Taylor, JCPenney and Sears, as well as dozens of stores that can't be found anywhere else in the region.

Woodfield is consistently among the first centers in the country to secure the hottest retail concepts. Openings since last holiday season include Build-A-Bear's highly-anticipated "brother" store, RIDEMAKERZ miniature car and truck-building emporium, the first U.S. foray of India's largest jeweler, Tanishq, and women's shoe boutique Franco Sarto. Skin, hair and body care giant Kiehl's Since 1851 is scheduled to open one of its first freestanding stores at Woodfield later this month.
