Arlington Heights
• Burglars smashed a passenger's-side window between 5:30 p.m. Oct. 20 and 6:30 a.m. Oct. 21 on a 2001 Mazda Tribute parked in an apartment lot on the 1600 block of Woods Drive.
• Vandals smashed the rear passenger's-side window between 9 a.m. Oct. 15 and 9 a.m. Oct. 20 on a 1993 Nissan Pathfinder in an office parking lot at 1500 Shure Drive. Damage was estimated at $400.
• Burglars smashed the front passenger's-side window and stole a GPS unit between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Oct. 20 out of a 2000 Kia Sportage parked in a strip mall lot at 1000 E. Golf Road. Value was estimated at $212.
Rolling Meadows
• Burglars forced open a rear storage area and stole four cases of rum and wine between 12:30 and 7 a.m. Oct. 11 at Chili's Restaurant, 1480 Golf Road. Value was estimated at $600.
• Burglars stole an undetermined amount of money between 10 p.m. Oct. 17 and 8 a.m. Oct. 18 out of the cash register at the Marathon gas station, 1300 Hicks Road.
• Fabian Alarcon, 22, 4962 Algonquin Parkway, Apt. A, Rolling Meadows, was arrested around 1:05 a.m. Oct. 19 and charged with illegal transportation of open alcohol, aggravated driving under the influence, and traffic violations after a traffic stop on Algonquin Road and Magnolia Drive, police said. His Rolling Meadows court date was set for Nov. 18.
• Burglars stole a brown jacket and $15 between 8 p.m. Oct. 18 and 6 p.m. Oct. 19 out of a 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass parked in a hotel lot at 1800 Winnetka Circle.
