Chicagoan found dead at the Grand Canyon

GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. _ A Chicagoan has been found dead at Grand Canyon National Park.
A park spokeswoman says rescue personnel recovered the body of 58-year-old Richard Jenkins on Wednesday from below the South Rim of the park.
The crew was dispatched to the area after rangers spotted what appeared to be a body approximately 300 feet below the rim. The rangers had been searching that area after someone found what appeared to be an abandoned duffel bag in the area.
Jenkins' body was taken to the Coconino County Medical Examiner's Office in Flagstaff, Ariz.
The National Park Service is investigating the death.
