Why would Obamas change democracy?

On the Oct. 8, 2008 Larry King Live show, Larry King interviewed Michelle Obama, covering a wide range of topics.

One group of questions focused on community organization and voter registration activity in which the Obama-Biden campaign is involved.

Part of Mrs. Obama's detailed response was a statement that hit my wife and I like a slap in the face.

Mrs. Obama said, "We have to change democracy."

What is that all about? Is there a Democratic agenda of which the electorate is not aware?

Is "changing democracy" part of the "Change You Can Believe In" campaign?

Democracy is, after all, the very foundation of our country.
