Noverini favors night court

I have been following with interest the judicial race in the 2nd subcircuit between Patricia Golden and John Noverini. It is interesting to note that Golden appears to be endorsed by the trial attorneys while Noverini is endorsed by law enforcement, elected officials and working people. It seems that Golden is endorsed by Wall Street and Noverini is endorsed by Main Street.

Noverini has apparently struck a cord with his idea of bringing "night court" for minor traffic violations to the branch courts in Elgin and Dundee Township. Night court is an excellent idea, especially given the current economic situation in which we find ourselves. Working people should not be required to miss work for a minor traffic violation. In addition to night court, the county might want to consider holding traffic court on Saturday mornings as well.
