Bears punter to mark store opening

HOFFMAN ESTATES - Sports Authority is opening a 42,000-square-foot store at 4700 Hoffman Blvd., Hoffman Estates. The 42,000-square-foot store is set to open Saturday, Oct. 25. The Colorado-based sporting goods retailer will open 12 other new locations on the same day bringing the total number of retail outlets to 454 nationwide. For the grand opening on Oct. 25, Chicago Bears punter Brad Maynard will be making in-store appearances beginning at 1 p.m. The store will conduct giveaways and award prizes.
