Community invited to candidate forum
The Elgin Latino Political Action Team and the League of United Latin American Citizens Council 5236 invite the community to a candidate forum at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at the Elgin Township Building lower level room A, 729 S. McLean Blvd., Suite 200, Elgin.
Parking space and the entrance are in the rear of building.
The forum is for contested races only in the Elgin, Dundee and Carpentersville area.
Join the organization members and meet the candidates running for the following offices: U.S. 14th Congressional District, state Representative 43rd, 44th, and 49th districts, 16th Judicial Circuit Court 2nd subcircuit, and Kane County Chair, Circuit Clerk, Auditor, Coroner, board districts 18, 20 and 20. The candidates will have 3 minutes for an introduction followed by a brief question-and-answer.
The designated time slot for each contested race is as follows:
• U.S. 14th Congressional District at 6:30 p.m.
• State Representative 43rd, 44th and 49th District at 6:40 p.m.
• Kane County Chairman at 7:10 p.m.
• Kane County Circuit Clerk at 7:20 p.m.
• Kane County Auditor at 7:30 p.m.
• Kane County Coroner at 7:40 p.m.
• 16th Judicial Circuit Court 2nd subcircuit at 7:50 p.m.
• Kane County Board Districts 18, 20 and 22 at 8 p.m.
The forum is free and open to the general public. All candidates are welcome to attend.
