We need a peace, not a war, president
A president needs good judgment.
So Carl Palash wants us to vote for McCain because he is decisive and for his convictions and his experience. He neglected to say that a president needs good judgment. That, McCain does not have, and he does not have leadership qualities.
He showed horrible judgment when he gave President Bush the authority to go to war. He violated our Constitution. Congress has the power to declare war. We would need an amendment to our constitution to give this power to the executive branch of our government. He also did not show the leadership that could have avoided war with Iraq that has resulted in the deaths of more than 4,000 soldiers.
McCain does not want to negotiate with Iran without preconditions - meanwhile Iran will continue with its nuclear program that will result in a nuclear weapon. This is more bad judgment; when McCain does not get this precondition, will he invade Iran?
We need a peace president, Barack Obama, not a war president that John McCain would be. Carl, how can we expect John McCain to fix our economy when he admits that he does not understand the economy? We need a president with more than experience, convictions and being decisive. He must have good judgment and be a leader. Barack Obama will be this president.
