Thanks, Batavia, for helping others

People helping people in a small town way. This is how the Batavia Food Pantry has been able to obtain record numbers of cash and food donations for this time of year - 301 boxes of food and $1,955 in cash.

We at the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry would like to send out a huge thank you to everyone who participated in the recent Food Sharing Days, especially: Jewel Osco - Batavia; Amstadt's Finer Foods on Wilson; the 150 or so volunteers who contributed in so many different ways - collecting food from the stores, transporting the food to the pantry, sorting the food, shelving the food, etc.; and the great people of Batavia who graciously donated food and/or money.

We are very proud of our organization but especially proud of our neighbors and community. We thank everyone who has been and continues to be a part of people helping people. Remember, one more person can make a difference.

If you or your group are interested in becoming a part of the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry, e-mail me at carilz@comcast.net.
